Watching this after playing Underlords having never played autochess until then.. now I know the origin of the names when Quill mentioned them in his games (like undead).
Honestly I prefer these graphics over Underlords.. but Underlords definitely did better with the way the game controls. Shame the launch update totally screwed the UI to make it very hard to see what's going on and just put way too much information everywhere (and lackthereof for certain things, like debuffs and shrinking/changing the health/mana bars which further hurts legibility). I can' t say I like the underlord mechanic either as it's pretty unbalancing, but I suppose they really wanted to go a unique route. TFT is pretty much a clone of autochess and has the worst UI out of the 3 though.
Anyway, time to watch all these autochess videos for.. some reason!
So I cant connect to the server for Auto Chess. Anyone else have this problem/figure out what's causing the problem?

Considering DOTA itself started as a mod which radically changed the game, seems appropriate that it's also getting radically different gameplay mods.

This is a nice change of scenery for me. Usually I watch quill playing games and making me feel like a total noob. Watching him play this I was constantly thinking of things I could teach him to play better.

Bonuses only apply to unique units of a given race/class. So having 2 Kunkkas on the board doesn't trigger the human bonus! You would need a Kunkka and then another human piece.

So Dota was a mod in Warcraft 3. Dota Auto Chess is a mod in Dota 2. Maybe when Dota Auto Chess 2 becomes a standalone game, someone will make a mod for it that would play as global strategy or something.
